Three Ways to Enjoy the Winter in Tennessee

Posted by Nathan Miller on Oct 24, 2014 10:12:00 AM

Winter is magic. It’s a time of conserving energy and life so it can burst into flower in spring. Snow is one of the magic things about winter everyone loves. It’s especially magic in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains, where Gatlinburg awaits the adventurous. Go skiing in Tennessee’s only ski resort, go tubing or ice skating, check out the winter festivals and Christmas lights and decorations in Gatlinburg. Or just take a walk through the magic and breathe that rare winter air so special in the mountains. Be sure to take your Pugs gear because it will protect you during winter sports from the freezing part of winter in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Why I Need My Polarized Sunglasses at Telluride Blues and Brews

Posted by Adrian Doggrell on Sep 8, 2013 1:00:00 PM

Coming up at the end of this week is the annual Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. It is one of my favorite festivals each year. I will tell you why, but first allow me the opportunity to suggest that you go sometime. It takes place in mid-September each year. The summer crowds are finally gone, so you won’t have to struggle to get a dinner reservation in town. And the snow is usually yet to set in, so it is that perfect little slot of time before the weather gets nasty before winter. Also, there is something overall majestic about Telluride, Colorado. It is this small little ski town, but its beauty attracts visitors from all over the world. If you can ever make it there, I highly recommend you do so. But before you leave, make sure to pack your polarized sunglasses because the town sits at 8,750 feet above sea level, so the sun can be extremely damaging if you don’t take the necessary precautions.
