Cuffing season as they call it is back, and it’s in full swing. Previously, we advised you on date ideas to spark that Grease-like-Summer lovin’, but now as the weather is cooling down we’re here to keep things hot with that special someone. To really impress your date, think outside the box, or in this case outside the pumpkin patch and surprise them with a season full of outdoor date ideas that are as much insta-worthy as they are memorable.

Catch a Sporting Event / Football Game

Forgo the movies and save that for a rainy day. Instead, take your date to a Sporting Event and bond over rooting (or competing) for your team.  You can usually get a last minute tickets to any major sporting event if you don’t mind nosebleed sections!

Go to the Farmers Market

There is something mesmerizing when it comes to the scent of freshly baked pies flowing amongst the crisp autumn air. Nothing screams autumn like walking through a farmers market. You and your date can peruse the vendor’s freshest seasonal offerings and sample your way through lunch. Buy a loaf of fresh bread and local cheese to bring along with you to picnic at a local park. Don’t forget to bring along a blanket!

Volunteer Together

Volunteer at a pet shelter or a soup kitchen. The experience will be bonding as it is humbling. To find a pet shelter near you, check out petfinder.com

Attend Oktoberfest

What better way to celebrate October than attending your local Oktoberfest celebrations with your date? Your day doesn’t just have to be surrounded by booze, most Oktoberfests  also have games, live music, and delicious German dishes to ensure you’ll spend hours at your nearby watering hold.

Get Lost In a Cornmaze

Admittedly, this is only slightly less cliché than going to a pumpkin patch or apple picking, but regardless a fun way to spend hours with your date by getting to know their personality in tricky situations. Warm up after the date by drinking hot apple cider or relaxing at a local vineyard.

Enjoy The Foliage from High Above

Take your date on a hiking date. Stay warm by keeping those legs moving to finally enjoy the gorgeous views of the changing leaves from a sea of trees. The movement up the mountain boosts endorphins to keep the energy between both parties strong and positive.

When you take your date on an outdoor adventure this fall, be sure to look great by wearing Pugs Gear, especially our polarized sunglasses to protect your eyes from the autumn sun.
