It is so hard to watch the summer days get shorter. I quickly get used to the luxury of having it still be a little bit light out at 8:30 even though those days only last for a couple weeks. It is just so nice to be able to have that much sun. It opens the doors for so many great activities. Unfortunately, summer doesn’t last. In Colorado, it quickly turns to a gasp of fall before winter comes rolling in.

Unless you live in Hawaii or California, the hot summer will be over before you know it. Tank tops and shade hats will be replaced by scarves and beanies as the cold weather rolls in. If you’ve been busy so far this summer don’t worry, there are still a solid two months of hot weather ahead of us. To help you make sure you make the most of the remaining summer season, Pugs has put together a bucket list of things to do while the weather is hot.

Every road trip has its casualties; legs get cramped, bladders seemingly about to burst and headaches from too much soda are the typical complaints after a day in the car. Fourth of July means fireworks, barbecuing and celebrating the great country we live in with family and friends. Some of us celebrate in large crowds viewing multi-million dollar fireworks displays, while some of us prefer a private party showcasing bottle rockets and homemade popsicles. Whichever way you celebrate, here are four American facts to know before the Fourth of July parties hit full swing.

Colorado is known for winter sports in the snow covered Rocky Mountains, the mile high city and ice cold beer. Often regarded as a great place to live and work, Colorado has its draw for the outdoor enthusiast, the beer connoisseur, and everything in between. In addition to a vibrant and active culture, the world famous state is also one of the healthiest places to live. With so many positive attributes the state has its fair share of localism and pride, but does not deter friendly visitors.
As a new resident of Colorado this summer, I have put together the 3 places in Colorado I want to visit this summer:
